Illinois recently strengthened its emission control requirements, and instituted more stringent testing procedures. As a result, many vehicles that previously passed the mandatory test for emissions now fail.
Maintaining the Champion commitment to provide service
and advice based on the latest information, we have completed training classes
in the new IM 240 emission laws.
Additionally, we have invested thousands in the latest portable test equipment that measures a vehicles emissions in much the same way the state test facilities do. We take emission readings at highway speeds, not sitting in our repair facility.
Did you know the test procedures at the Illinois
Air Team facilities use a computer-controlled dynamometer that actually runs
your vehicle up to 56 miles per hour? Thats why Champion
uses portable equipment that can measure emissions at highway speeds.
Due to our successful completion
of training, and investment in equipment, Champion is an Illinois Certified
Emission Control facility. One more reason
to choose Champion for your critical auto, truck and recreational vehicle
service.
Our customers benefit because there is less chance
for error. We have to get it right the first time to maintain our certification.
Our training, experience and portable test equipment lets us do just that.
Proper maintenance of all vehicles to meet emission standards is something that benefits us all. Champion is proud to help.
